Hu Chi Chung was born in rural Zhejiang province, China in 1927. A self taught artist, he eventually established himself as Nationalist China's leading artist. Chung moved to Carmel California in the early 1970's. He has been exceptionally successful and his work is highly regarded and very sought after. His original oil paintings and limited edition prints have been exhibited in some of the world’s most prestigious museums and art galleries and are owned by many prominent collectors in the United States and abroad. This Hu Chi Chung original piece was appraised for $8,500 in 1998 and measures about 42"X52". Great piece of Asian Art from our Art Gallery.
